Be careful when buying a sofa for your apartment not to get more sofa than your room can accommodate. If your apartment is small you should try to avoid buying sofas that are very bulky and long. Modern space saving styles are more suitable for apartment living, assuming your apartment is not a million dollar condo. Also, if you must get a sofa set consider a sectional instead but keep the layout of the room where the sofa will be placed in mind when deciding on a sectional or selecting a sectional. If sectionals are not your thing, then instead of getting a matching set you could get the sofa or the love seat instead of both, then, for a more eclectic look, select a completely different style for the second piece.

If you don’t plan on living in your apartment for a long period of time don’t splurge too much on your sofa. Although you can always take your sofa with you when you move, it probably makes more sense to wait until you move into your permanent home to buy your ultimate dream sofa.

It’s always best to buy your sofa locally so you can have the opportunity to test it out before you buy it. Considering my financial situation right now I probably need to go for the Seattle Convertible Sofa – Khaki, which is only $308; but you have to wonder how sturdy these convertible sofa beds are. And can they comfortably sleep two adults? Also can you have sex in a convertible bed without it breaking down?
